IDF decided to ‘destroy Hezbollah’ regardless of threats from Iran after demise of terror group’s longtime chief

Israel is decided to “destroy Hezbollah” in Lebanon, an IDF official stated – whereas acknowledging that the Jewish state is dealing with “difficult days” within the wake of the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

Israel Protection Forces Chief of Employees Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi addressed the world in a video assertion shared on Saturday, the Instances of Israel reported.

“Nasrallah killed Israeli civilians indiscriminately. He needed this warfare to finish with the destruction of Israel, we made positive that wouldn’t occur. We killed him, and we’ll get stronger,” Halevi stated of the Hezbollah chief, who was taken out by an Israeli strike on Beirut Friday.

“We’re decided to proceed to destroy the Hezbollah terror group. We’re decided to proceed preventing,” he added.

Halevi acknowledged that “difficult days are forward of us” as Hezbollah and different Iran-backed opponents search to avenge Nasrallah’s demise.

“IDF troops are on peak alert, on protection and offense, on all fronts,” he stated.

Along with its battle towards Hezbollah, the IDF stays devoted to  “destroying terror organizations and their capabilities [in Gaza], returning the hostages… and returning the residents to the north and south to their houses safely,” Halevi stated.

Israel has been at warfare on a number of fronts for almost a 12 months, because the Hamas terror assault on Oct. 7.

Earlier this month, Israeli officers indicated that the main target of the warfare effort was shifting from Hamas’ decimated strongholds within the Gaza Strip to the looming threats from Hezbollah within the north.

Within the wake of Nasrallah’s demise, Hezbollah fired a volley of rockets into Israel – however officers stated the fear group’s internal disorganization could have been stopping a bigger response, CNN reported.

Hezbollah’s command construction has supposedly been laid naked, and a spherical of 1,600 airstrikes on Monday decimated weapons shops and missile launch positions.

Israeli generals are making ready for a floor offensive into Lebanon, although it has not been determined if that can occur, CNN reported.
